ఓం యోగవిదాం నేత్రే నమః | ॐ योगविदां नेत्रे नमः | OM Yogavidāṃ netre namaḥ
యోగం విందతే యోగమును విచారణ చేయుదురు. యోగం విందతి యోగమును ఎరుగుదురు. యోగం విందతి యోగమును పొందుదురు. ఇట్టివారు యోగ విదులు. 'నేతా' - ఒక చోటినుండి మరియొక చోటికి లేదా ముందునకు తీసుకొనిపోవువాడు.
యోగ విదుల యోగక్షేమములను ముందునకు కొనిపోవువాడు కావున యోగవిదాం నేతాః అని విష్ణువు పిలువబడుచున్నాడు.

అనన్యాశ్చిన్తయన్తో మాం యే జనాః పర్యుపాసతే ।
తేషాం నిత్యాభియుక్తానాం యోగక్షేమం వహామ్యహమ్ ॥ 22 ॥
ఎవరు ఇతర భావములు లేనివారై నన్ను గూర్చి చింతించుచు ఎడతెగక ధ్యానించుచున్నారో, ఎల్లప్పుడు నాయందే నిష్ఠగల్గియుండు అట్టివారి యోగక్షేమములను నేను వహించుచున్నాను.
ఇది గీతలో చాలముఖ్యమైన శ్లోకము. దాదాపు గీతయొక్క మధ్యభాగమున నుండుటవలన ఇది గీతారత్నమాలయందు మధ్యమణియై హృదయస్థానము నలంకరించుచున్నది. ఈ శ్లోకముద్వారా భగవానుడు అభయమొసంగినారు. నిరంతరము తాము పరమాత్మ చింతనచేయుచుండుచో, తమయొక్క అవసరములను తీర్చువారెవరని భక్తులు శంకించుదురేమోయని తలంచి 'ఆ పనిని నేనే వహించెదనని' భగవానుడు ఇచట సెలవిచ్చిరి. లేని శుభము వచ్చుట యోగము. వచ్చిన శుభము తగ్గకుండుట క్షేమము. ఈ ప్రకారముగ భక్తుల యోగక్షేమములను తాను 'యోగవిదాం నేత'యై వహించెదనని భగవానుడు హామీనిచ్చెను.
Yogaṃ vindate contemplates on yoga. Yogaṃ vindati practices yoga. Yogaṃ vindati attains yoga. (Please refer to the description of previous divine name of 'Yogaḥ' to understand the meaning of Yoga. In this context, the word 'Yoga' is not to be interpreted as the form of physical exercise/practice as most of us know it as.)
Bhagavad Gitā - Chapter 9
Ananyāścintayanto māṃ ye janāḥ paryupāsate,
Teṣāṃ nityābhiyuktānāṃ yogakṣemaṃ vahāmyaham. (22)
Those persons who, becoming non-different from Me and meditative, worship Me everywhere, for them, who are ever attached to Me, I arrange for securing what they lack and preserving what they have.
Does not the Lord surely arrange for securing what they lack and protecting what they have even in case of other devotees? This is true. He does arrange for it. But the difference lies in this: Other who are devotees make their own efforts as well for their own sake, to arrange for securing what they lack and protecting what they have. On the contrary, those who have realized non-duality do not make any effort to arrange for themselves the acquisition of what they have. Indeed, they desire nothing for themselves, in life or in death. They have taken refuge only in the Lord. Therefore the Lord Himself arranges to procure what they do not have and protect what they have got.
The Leader of those that know Yoga is the Lord Viṣṇu in the form of Yogavidāṃ netā.
| योगो योगविदां नेता प्रधानपुरुषेश्वरः । |
| नारसिंहवपु श्श्रीमान् केशवः पुरुषोत्तमः ॥ 3 ॥ |
| యోగో యోగవిదాం నేతా ప్రధానపురుషేశ్వరః । |
| నారసింహవపు శ్శ్రీమాన్ కేశవః పురుషోత్తమః ॥ 3 ॥ |
| Yogo yogavidāṃ netā pradhānapuruṣeśvaraḥ । |
| Nārasiṃhavapu śśrīmān keśavaḥ puruṣottamaḥ ॥ 3 ॥ |
