642. కాలనేమినిహా, कालनेमिनिहा, Kālaneminihā

ఓం కాలనేమినిఘ్నే నమః | ॐ कालनेमिनिघ्ने नमः | OM Kālaneminighne namaḥ

కాలనేమినిహా, कालनेमिनिहा, Kālaneminihā

అసురం కాలనేమింనిజఘానేతి జనార్దనః ।
కాలనేమినిహేత్యుక్తో వేదవిద్యా విశారదైః ॥

కాలనేమియను రక్కసుని సంహరించినందున ఆ జనార్దనునికి కాలనేమినిహా అను నామము గలదు.

ఆ. కాలనేమి ఘోర కంఠీరవము నెక్కి, తార్‍క్ష్యు శిరము శూలధారఁ బొడువ
     నతని పోటుముట్టు హరి కేల నంకించి, దానఁ జావఁ బొడిచె దానవునిని. (345)

కాలనేమి అను దానవ వీరుడు భయంకరమైన సింహముపై కూర్చొన్నవాడై, గరుడుని తలపై వాడియైన బల్లెముతో కుమ్మినాడు. వాని ఆయుధమును విష్ణువు పట్టుకొని దానితోనే ఆ రక్కసుడు చనిపోయేటట్లు పొడిచి సంహరించినాడు.

असुरं कालनेमिंनिजघानेति जनार्दनः ।
कालनेमिनिहेत्युक्तो वेदविद्या विशारदैः ॥

Asuraṃ kālanemiṃnijaghāneti janārdanaḥ,
Kālaneminihetyukto vedavidyā viśāradaiḥ.

Since Lord Janārdana killed the demon Kālanemini,He is called Kālaneminihā.

:: श्रीमद्भागवते अष्टमस्कन्धे दशमोऽध्यायः ::
दृष्ट्वा मृधे गरुडवाहमिभारिवाह आविध्य शूलमहिनोदथ कालनेमिः ।
तल्लिलया गरुडमूर्ध्नि पतद्गृहीत्वा तेनाहनन्नृप सवाहमरिं त्र्यधीशः ॥ ५६ ॥

Śrīmad Bhāgavata - Canto 8, Chapter 10
Dr̥ṣṭvā mr̥dhe garuḍavāhamibhārivāha āvidhya śūlamahinodatha kālanemiḥ,
Tallilayā garuḍamūrdhni patadgr̥hītvā tenāhanannr̥pa savāhamariṃ tryadhīśaḥ. 56.

Being carried by a lion, the demon Kālanemini when he saw that the Lord carried by Garuda, was on the battlefield, he immediately took his trident, whirled it and discharged it at Garuda's head. Lord Hari, the master of the three worlds, immediately caught the trident, and with the very same weapon he killed the enemy Kalanemi, along with his carrier, the lion.

कालनेमिनिहा वीरश्शौरिश्शूरजनेश्वरः ।

त्रिलोकात्मा त्रिलोकेशः केशवः केशिहा हरिः ॥ ६९ ॥

కాలనేమినిహా వీరశ్శౌరిశ్శూరజనేశ్వరః ।

త్రిలోకాత్మా త్రిలోకేశః కేశవః కేశిహా హరిః ॥ 69 ॥

Kālaneminihā vīraśśauriśśūrajaneśvaraḥ,

Trilokātmā trilokeśaḥ keśavaḥ keśihā hariḥ ॥ 69 ॥
